Will I get into college?
So, I am a senior in high school and its my time to go to college. Heres the problem. Until this year, I didn’t care about my grades and my transcripts show that. However, I decided to change all of that and somehow improve enough to show colleges that I am trying. I want to go Mizzou badly. It is my #1 choice.
1. My GPA is a 2.3 (i got a 2.7 for the semester so it raised my gpa)
2. the required ACT for automatic admission is a 24. I got a 22.
3. I sent teacher recs
4. im sending a personal statement
5. i joined extra-curricular activities (track freshman year, an all girls singing group which requires tryouts, taking an eighth class this year tutoring other students, being a part of the schools variety show, being a part of the musical, choir all 4 years)
Is this enough to somehow get in? I know that there are other schools I can get into, but Mizzou is my top choice. Any thoughts?
Strangely, people will lower ACT scores and lower GPAs have gotten in. I have reminded myself that some of those people are also joining sports, but my friend got in with a 20 ACT and hes not taking a sport there. This is so confusing.

No…! no offense but you probably should have thought about this earlier than minimum for even community colleges is 2.5 for a gpa sorry…..best of luck….

I’m sorry but I don’t think you will get into Mizzou BUT don’t call it quits. Go to a community college for a year or two and get a 3.0 and above, should be golden. If you don’t want to go that route apply to other schools in the state (smaller and easier acceptance). You stand a chance for schools such as Central Mizzou.
Good luck

Not straight to a major college or university, no. However, you can go to a community college and transfer to a major college from there with an Associates degree. I am currently doing that now at De Anza College. I had a 0.8 GPA my last semester in high school and I can’t remember my overall GPA. Hell, I didn’t even a real high school diploma (I got was is called a “certificate of proficiency.”) If you do well in community college, universities and such will pretty much forget high school, especially if you already have a college degree from another college. Plus it’s way cheaper to go to community college too.
