i want to know which clothes shops etc give student discount, i dont have the nus extra card its just the standard free one, thanks

If you are not sure just ask they can say yes or no, that way you will know for next time.
I have the NUS Extra and I find that I can get discounts in other places where I cannot with the ordinary one.
With the NUS extra you can use it in Subway , Matalan, Amazon. I have just bought a book from amazon and used my NUS Extra card and got a discount of 10% off my order.
If you are going to need books and you have to buy them invest in a NUS Extra card it is well worth it.
