When does the “Buy a Mac and get a free iPod” deal come out if you are a student?

I really want to buy a mac but really want to wait to get the free iPod and the student discount. I am ready to buy a mac but don’t know when that deal usually comes out. Does anybody know?? Thanks!!

Also it was only a crappy shuffle worth £35 / $50

If you but a pc with the same specs as a macbook you would have enough money for over 3 ipods.
Alot of the past offers look like they were in June or July so probably around then.

I’ve seen this happen 2008, 2007, and 2006. Apple does the buy a Mac get an iPod free (after rebate) promotion over the summer around July and August, ends in September. Last year you could choose a 3G Nano or a 1G iPod Touch. So in 2009 I would suspect a 4G Nano and 2G Touch would be the choices.
