That depends largely on one thing: WHAT IS YOUR DEGREE IN???
Although any degree comes in useful with civil service jobs, psychology is an area that does not really have too many outdoor applications. I, however, can provide you with an interesting piece of information due to my personal life experiences.
As a teenager I got into lots of trouble. Realistically I got into much less than was assumed, but my parents always over-reacted. At one point I was suspended for smoking cigarrettes (while not on school property[ridicilous totalitarian crap]), my father then stormed the school in a heat of rage. As a result of this I left the school to go to my mother’s house. I did not want to deal with my father’s anger over the school targetting me (he knew I smoked and had told them to keep an eye on me [naive]).
At six AM I was awoken by some goon and thrown on a plane. I spent the next six days on some farm awaiting transport from upper Utah to the Aspen Achievement Academy in Southern Utah. Aspen is an outdoor program where students spend 60+ days in a wilderness setting. It was one of the most interesting experiences of my life. 60 days, no shower, no hot water, no toilets, a couple thousand miles worth of hiking. Unlike other shithole programs my parents tried to put me through, this one actually left me feeling like I had accomplished something. It was not wasted time.
The basic staff spend a alternating weeks with the groups. The therapists report to the field on a daily basis to meet with the various kids. If you are looking for something in your field of study that will get you outdoors, this is it. I suggest you contact them and let them know you are interested. (assuming you feel like moving to utah or nearby arizona)

How about getting a job based on your Degree. If your walking in that direction, then why not mention it in your description?
