What Does The Rad Tech (radiologic Technologist) Job Market Look Like Right Now?

College Jobs
Is the market saturated, making it difficult to find a job?
Are most people who graduate with an Associates and a certification by the ASRT finding jobs right out of college?
I know there are coordinated internships through most programs, does that make it easier to market yourself and find contacts within the hospitals

The Rad tech market is such that there is a current demand and there has been for many years. This profession is extremely flexible for the technologist. They can move to other areas easily. the certification and the re-certification is on a national basis (www.art.org).
And yes indeed, intern programs are a great tool in getting placed; not that you would need much help anyway. What you need is the cert.
It takes time ( maybe 9 – 12 months) to go through the program and it costs several thousand dollars for the program. It is a full-time study too.
