What Are Things You Should Look At When Choosing A College?

College Selection
I have a list of 11 colleges. Most are in the New England area, a few on the west coast and a couple in the state I’m in right now. They all have the major I want to study, but what are other factors I should look at?

You should consider many things when deciding what college to go to. I’ll list the ones I can think of.
Financing. If you go in state you’ll be paying in-state tuition which is about half of what you’ll pay if you go out of state.
Scholarships. Did you get scholarships for any of the colleges?
Surrounding Area. How do you like it? Try and visit all that you can because this can be very important.
School Rankings. Are there schools in your list that have better ranked programs for the major you’re looking at?
Dorm availability. Will there be room for you in the dorms or will you have to get an apartment?
Those are the ones I can think of now. Will edit if I think of more.

Visit the campus, see if you like the atmosphere and the area, because that’ll be your home for four years. See if any of the colleges are decisively better than the others at the major you’re interested in (like, if you got into MIT and Harvard and you wanted to go into computer science, even though both are amazing schools you’d definitely want to go to MIT).

Look for how they are rated, and how good they are in what your interests lie. And, of course the costs matter also.

This is pretty much what others have said but,
Reputation for that subject
Whether there is careers help
Location – how expensive to travel
The feel of the place
