Be sure to ask about the campus’s safety and how they ensure proper security. Ask about their food and how they expect you to pay for the food (is it a part of tuition, extra, etc). Ask about how they determine your roommate — of course that’s only if you will be living in dorms!
There are MANY questions to ask colleges. Visit their websites and write down some questions you might have relating to what they have online.

Ask about:
- Scholarships (there may be specific programs that you have to apply to separately)
- Retention rate (how many students stay each year; if it’s low, be concerned)
- Job placement rate after graduation
- Internship/co-op opportunities
- Student life (extracurriculars, school spirit, etc)
- Religious opportunities (even if you aren’t religious)
- Flexibility with changing your major
- Dining options (especially if you are vegan or vegetarian)
- Housing options (where do freshmen live, how long is housing guaranteed, etc)
Grab a copy of the school newspaper to figure out what students on campus actually care about.
