Question by windmill ever: What are my options for FAFSA and getting money for college?
OK. This is probably a weird question. Im 22 years old and live in the state of WA on my own. I really want to go to a local community college to become an LPN. I have no money for school. I know the first step is filling out my FAFSA form. Heres the problem though. I know since im not yet 24 I will need to include my mother and her husbands income. (I dont have a father). My step father makes anywhere from ,000 – ,000 a year and my mother makes about ,000. Now thats almost 0,000. And I KNOW they are going to say my parents make too much money for me to get any assistance. The problem is that both my parents are heroin addicts so in reality after spending money on there habit they probably bring home ,000..and of course will not give me any money for school. Am I screwed for help til I turn 24? Im really resenting my parents for this right now..its just not fair.

You can always explain your situation, will be hard to provide receipts for their spending habits but you can give it a try. You can also be an independent student and move out from your parents house.
