Yes its true. Its only $1300 brand new of the $1999 model. It also includes the 3 year membership of apple care.

I’m considering buying the new 13 inch macbook pro for college and of course I’m looking for all the discounts I can get. My uncle works for Apple, so he can get me the laptop 20% off but is it possible to get another $100 off because I am a student?

I know Apple offers some discounts if you have a student ID. Does it apply to the MacBook?
