Should you choose a college minor related to your major, or far from it?

I am majoring in Environmental Studies, and I am having trouble deciding how to pick a minor. Some people say to pick a minor that compliments your major, as a specialization. Other people say picking a minor that is far from you major, shows future employers that you have diverse interests. So should I pick a minor such as Geography, or animal behavior? Or minors such as Political Science, or English. What are your opinions? Thanks!

id pick political science because it is a VERY broad field and your future employer could look at it as a specialization (environment problems in other countries) orrr something far from environmental studies! (wanting to become the next president or something like that

i would say choose something that is kinda related to your major, interesting, easy to do, and most importantly is that you like it. dont do something that others told you they liked cause just because they liked it doesnt mean you will. so since you are in env, geo and animal behavior look fine. but you can also do env with a political view. =)
