Q&A: Where Can I learn Japanese, without going to Liberal Arts College?
Question by lazyhardworker: Where Can I learn Japanese, without going to Liberal Arts College?
Let me be more specific. I do nothing but watch japanese tv (downloaded of course) and listen to Japanese music all day. I have been teaching myself, in a sense for the past year.
I would really like to go to an actual college of sorts to learn. But I don’t want to learn math and all that nonsense. I can’t do 8th grade math.
I don’t know anybody to tutor me?
How would I find a college or How would I find a tutor.
Please help.

Try a local community college or adult ed program. Or, you can try getting one of those computer programs for learning languages, like Rosetta Stone. Good luck – years of Japanese programming has left me able to cuss someone out or talk about demons, neither of which is all that useful. I feel your pain.
