Q&A: What is the cost of braces in England?
Question by rose123: What is the cost of braces in England?
I want braces, but I have no idea about the cost. I’m not living in London or in other big town so maybe it’s cheaper? I tried to search on the internet but I didn’t find.. And are there any discounts for full-time students in the college?
I came to England just 3 months ago so I don’t have my doctor yet… And I really need the answer from the person who knows about the ddiscounts for students.
But I’m over 16. are U sure it’s free??

if you were on the waiting list for braces 1 or 2 years ago you could have got them free. I am not sure the exact price but I know they are pretty expensive.
What do you think? Answer below!

NHS?
go see your doctor,
talk about how your teeth make you less confident,
blah blah blah,
he or she will probably forward you on to a nhs dental nurse,
if you can get boob jobs on the nhs,
im sure you can get braces for free!
good luck

If you are living in the UK then it is most likely that you are receiving NHS care. If this is the case then they are free.

If you are over 16 then you ‘may’ be eligible for free NHS treatment, otherwise Braces will cost you £194 if you manage to find an NHS dentist (good luck!) or anywhere between £100 and £3800 if you go Private. If its a fairly uncomplicated set of Braces you could assume the Average price for Private treatment, which is £900
