Q&A: How to find a job at 20yrs old and very little experience?
Question by : How to find a job at 20yrs old and very little experience?
I have only had a job for a few months and then the store closed. I am a junior in college and never felt the urgency to find a job because all of the money I was receiving from scholarships. I also wasn’t able to get my car until I was 18. Now I’m 20 going on 21 and can’t seem to find a job anywhere and have no friends or any family to help me with references or networking. How should I go about finding a job since I’m out of ideas.

Check in the Newspapers, online or ask places that may potentially employ you.

1. College Advisor – there are on site jobs for qualifying students
2. Volunteer – You can begin to network with folks you meet there who may know of openings or there could be paying jobs at the institution too – try the Salvation Army, HABITAT for Humanity, Red Cross etc.
3. Walk into any store and ask – try gas stations or Mom and Pop stores too
4. Contact your local exterminating companies and ask if they need workers
