If I’m going to a school in a different state how do I find and get a job there before I move down?

Many colleges have human resource or personnel departments that assist students in getting jobs. Call your college and find out if they have such a department and, if so, get some job suggestions from them. You would be well advised to visit the town the college is located in and apply for jobs in person, letting the employer know when you will be available. Remember that the times you have open to work will be affected by your class schedule.

I was in charge of the registrar’s office at the university where I worked and never hired student workers without interviewing them.
