Q&A: Finale 2009 Student Discount?
Question by Taylor R: Finale 2009 Student Discount?
I am a 9th grader in high school. For about three years I have used Finale Notepad as my forms of inputing my musical ideas (some good…many bad…) I find myself rather restricted and wish to expand my abilities. I have a low budget (I am only a high schooler) and have been looking into Finale 2009 with the student discount. What all is needed for me to qualify for the discount? How do I go about actually getting the discount?
I appreciate any help one may have to offer. Thanks!

im a student too and honestly, finale 2009 is the same this as Finale print music except its 0 cheaper. I know about the discount but i think you can only apply with your student id and you have to buy it from a store. Print Music however is only 0, has all the features and you can get it off of their website but i dont think you can get a discount for that.

All you should need is a copy of your student ID. It doesn’t matter if you are in High School, Jr. High, or doing Post Grad work.
Actually a good way to get student discounts on software is to enroll for a semester at a junior college.
… preferably in a music/arts program if you’re going to get Finale or Sibelius.

For the longest time, the cheapest price with a copy of your student discount has been at http://www.academicsuperstore.com. FAR cheaper than if you buy from Finale themselves!! If you also own Sibelius, then Finale will give you a *we want you back* discount with is often quite liberal. Sibelius does the same thing – since I use them BOTH, I have gone back and forth a few times with this – will probably do it again this fall. Just copy your ID from school or get a letter from you counselor.
