Today i started at a new college. My reason for starting at the college is that last year i had my first year of a levels after leaving school, i feel i didn’t do too well as i got a C, D, E and a U. The C being in general studies. I didn’t think it was worth staying at school with grades like that. Even though most of the people at school have grades similar or worse.

So i started the new college, a national diploma in construction, which is what my mum and dad have wanted me to do, it allows me to go into the management side of construction, eg project manager, surveyor, architect. But i feel it’s a course for students with low intelligence, as most of the students don’t seem too bright. We had to do an hours maths and english test to enroll into the college, the tutor was taken back by my score and said that not many people go into the course on maths and english scores like that.

So i need some advice, should i go back to school? Carry on with this college course (which will cost roughly £25 a week to get to and from and school is free as i cycle)? Or should i rethink my career choices as i am not even sure i want to go into the construction management industry. I need some advice, thanks.

What are good careers currently? With good earning potentials? Thank you.
