Question by Thierry: Is there a discount on train tickets in Italy/Milan for students?
I’m living in Milan for the next three months. As of yet, I have not found any references to discounts for students on the trenitalia website.

Are there discounts available for students for single journeys (for instance to Firenze?).

Unfortunately there are no discounts for students on italian railways. If you go from Milan to Florence, you can try to book a ticket in advance and you can have a 30% discount. By time to time, there are special tickets on the new “Frecciarossa” train.
