Is somebody who is attending a Sixth Form eligible for a Student Discount Card?

16 year olds who attend College are allowed these cards, but are 16 year olds who are in Sixth Form allowed them? I mean, they should in theory be eligible since they are keeping on with further education, however are these cards not administered by colleges?
I’m confused! Starting at Sixth Form in September but I’d really love a Student Discount Card.

I’m in sixth form and most of my friends have them – you’ll be eligible for one as soon as you start in September. At most colleges they hand out Student Discount Cards for free, whilst at sixth forms you usually have to buy one yourself (£10 per year). There’s a form available online if you’d like to purchase a card: http://cards.nus.org.uk/buy Just follow the instructions. If you have any problems talk to your head of year, they’ll be able to sort it out
