Is It Possible To Change An Amtrak Ticket I Bought With My Student Advantage Discount?

i bought a train ticket 3 days in advance and got the 15% discount. the problem is it’s for tomorrow and i wanted to leave later than i had anticipated. is it possible to change my ticket? do i just pay the difference if i do that?

Yes, tickets purchased with the Student Advantage discount are still eligible for exchange. And yes, if the train you’re changing it to is more expensive (prices typically rise as you get closer to the departure date), you’ll have to pay the difference.

The only way to find that out is to call AMtrak…no one here is going to know their policies on that…and you would still need to call them anyway. (1-800-872-7245)
