Is It Better To Quit Work And Go Back To School After 2 Years Of Not Finding A Job With Current Degree?

I earned a degree in chemistry with a 4.0 in 2006 and still am work in my high-school/college job. I have a 3% interview rate which is about 7/200 jobs applied should I just quit trying and go back for some other degree?

At this point, I would go back to your school’s Alumni Association, and see if they offer career assistance. A 4.0 in hard science should get you a job, at least an interview, so you may want to have someone review your resume and cover letters to see if there are any glaring problems with either.
Otherwise, if you want a job in chemistry, and you feel like the positions that you want require a Master’s or Ph.D., then go back. If you are really interested in another subject, then go back. If you are just going back because you have nothing better to do, you may find yourself in the same position when you graduate again, but with more debt.

You say way too little. What do you want to do with your chemistry degree. I know that most that have that degree teach, or go to medical school work for a lab etc.. Even teaching now requires a masters. So I think whatever you are trying to do with a degree in chemistry it may require a graduate degree. I had a co worker with your same degree. She didn’t get a job until she got a masters now she is a drug rep.
