Is it bad if you go to the same college for your MA that you went for your BA?

College Selection
I am currently a senior in high school and is now choosing a college to go for next year. I really want to be a Counseling Psychologist and one school that i applied to has one of the best programs in the state! My only problem is that a friend of mine told me that employers will look down on you if you have both your degrees at one college. Is this true or not i would love to have another opinion. Thanks!

No actually it is better. When you apply for a job they like to see that you have stayed at one college and not go to five, one every year like Sarah Palin.

It’s usually preferred that you attend a different college for grad than your undergrad. It provides you with a wider perspective of views.
There’s a very big difference between frequently changing schools while working on a degree (Ms Palin example) and changing schools for successive degrees.
Employers don’t “look down on you” though if you go to the same school. Especially if the school in question has a really good reputation. Remember though, just because you’re doing your undergrad there doesn’t mean that they’ll let you stay for the master’s – you have to go through that whole application process again once you’ve finished your bachelor’s degree.
