Is Finding A “college Job” As Hard As Others Right Now?

I have been real picky with where I work so I have been just living off credit for a while since I am in school but I would like to start looking for something part time. Is it just as hard to find and keep a part time “college job” for 7-10 an hour right now as it is a real job? I have gotten about three offers this month (call center and two pizza jobs) but turned them down due to conflicts with school and pay/safety concerns.

A lot of retail places are laying off because people aren’t shopping. If you want a job while you’re in college, look within your own University. I had a job while I was in college working in the history department as an office assistant. Jobs with the university are great because they will help you work around your schedule and if you get a desk job you can study in your down time. Look on your college website, they should have a job section you can browse. Good luck!
