Question by Just Me: Is college a big waste of time and money?
I’m graduating this year then I’m going to get a job for a year to save up money for college, but I don’t even know if I should go to college. Is there a way I can get a good paying job with animals without going to college? There are lots of people I know that went to college and dont have jobs.

Sure, you don’t need a college degree to work as a vet tech or for a shelter. There are tons of jobs that don’t require college degrees – and there are many jobs that do. An education is never a waste of time or money, but a degree that won’t lead to a job might be. But if you wanted to work as a doctor, vet, scientist, teacher, nurse, architect, engineer, accountant, or one of many other fields, you need a college degree (or several).
