Is Anyone Else Have Trouble Finding A Job Right Out Of College?

College Jobs
I just graduated in August with my bachelor’s degree and cannot find a job. It seems like i have applied to over 100 jobs online, with only 3 call backs. The higher jobs want experience, and the lower ones think I won’t last because I have a degree.

I am in the same boat, but I’ve been applying and interviewing for jobs since last October. I’m coming up on a year and there are days where I feel defeated. It’s hard when the employers out there want people with 5+ years experience and I just graduated.
The one thing I’ve decided to do and I’m so glad I did, is to keep my part-time job in retail even though it has nothing to do with my major. As much as I hate it at times, I need to pay my bills somehow. I also, have an internship I do part-time that actually relates to my major.
Have you tried doing an internship? Even though they pay next to nothing, it’s a good way to get experience in the field while you search for something full-time.
Good luck with everything though. The job market sucks right now, but keep trying. I know I will.

It depends in what your degree is in.
My daughter graduated with a dual major of economics and political science. As well she got an EMT qualification in her senior year. She turned down several job offers so she could go to grad school this year.
On the other hand if you took a degree like English or psych that does not lead to a job, then you may have a very hard time getting a job.
So without knowing what your major was, this question cannot be meaningfully answered.

My sister also just graduated with her bachelor’s and she’s getting by working at the pizza place she worked at while she was a college student. She found a job, but the employer treated her horribly, so she left.
