Question by Titania: Inexpensive airplane ticket to China?
I am trying to find a cheap ticket to China from any NYC (including Newark) airport to Beijing for Feb 8. I can’t seem to find any under k! Is there a good website that also includes some student discounts? (I am a college student).
Also, when is the best time to buy the ticket? Now? Or are there last-minute deals anywhere?
Return date is May 24

Cheap tickets are just that. Cheap…….they may or may not work for you……..take what your comfortable with…….and………will work for you……..cheap is as cheap gets……..

At least you are flying after Lunar New Year. I would see if Continental Airline’s website or Air China has anything. I am sure there are websites geared towards students and they may have some discounts though I do not know of any websites. There also are lots of Asian travel agencies who buy seats in bulk and sell them to people at a relatively inexpensive price. There should be a Gateway or Dafa Travel Agency in New York. If not, look in the telephone book for an Asian travel agency and find out how much a ticket would cost.
I would not wait until the last minute because the ticket price will only go up. My recommendation is to purchase tickets at least 21 days before you travel.
