In Usa: High Grades Required To Find A Job After College Degree?

College Jobs
I am European and I will probably at one point in my life move to USA to continue as a post doc after my PhD studies. But I was wondering, when you graduate in US, do you need really high grades to get a job for what you’ve actually studied for? Does USA hold a high standard when it comes to hiring people that have some college degree? If you were coming from Europe and you had medium good grades from college, would you have dificulties finding a job?

It really depends on the field. In some fields, such as health care and engineering, anyone who successfully graduates from a decent college can find a good job in their field. In other fields, such as investment banking, you’d need over a 3.5 GPA from a top college to even be considered.

Not enough information.
What kind of job?
What college are you coming from.
I’m sure that an Oxford diploma carries a bit more weight than one from Oslo Community College.
I probably can’t answer this question with any degree of certainty but the person who can will need some more to work with.
Don’t know if this helps, but I have a degree with high honors from a top University and I’ve never needed to show it to anyone.
It’s just a $100,000 piece of paper posted above my Mothers desk at my old home.
