I’m really confused about choosing a college major!?
Hey everyone! I hope this is the right section, I’m not really sure haha.
Well I don’t have to worry about college right now much (freshman-high school), but I’m just so confused about what I’ll do when it comes time. My parents want me to be a doctor but I know that I won’t be happy as one because it’s just not what I want. I’ve always been interested in fashion, and it’s not just because I’m a teen, I seriously want to do something in the industry! I’m not too worried about getting into a college because I do really good in school and extracurricular activities.
I’m just confused of what job I could do that is related with fashion, and something that is possible for me to do. Such as marketing or working at a magazine? I don’t know much about those kind of things but I am really interested. I’m just scared of how things will go. I seriously worry about it 24/7.
Should I just go for it and research different jobs fashion related or just forget it and become a doctor?
sorry this was so long but I really appreciate any answers!

If being a doctor isn’t your thing, I would highly reccomend you follow your own calling. Med school is very rigorous and competitive, and you’d probably be miserable if your heart isn’t in it.
You can get a degree in a fashion related field.
For example, California State University, Long Beach offers a degree in Fashion Merchandising and Design.
If you want to work at a magazine, perhaps you could major in journalism.
Marketing and advertising are also very good.
Good luck!
