If I Lie About My Grades To Get A Good Student Discount With My Auto Insurance, Does It Matter. Do They Check?

Student Discounts
If I submit an altered grade transcript to the auto insurance company looking to get a good student dicount, do I have to worry about them calling the school to check. Is this a realistic concern. If they do, what are the real consquences?

It’s called insurance fraud, and it’s against the law whether you get caught or not.
Yes, your insurance company may contact the school directly. I’ve seen it happen, especially if they are suspicious.
If you get caught, you will lose your coverage. And it’s really hard to get auto coverage when you’ve been cancelled by another carrier.

You can submit an altered grade transcript, but it’ll go right in the garbage. They require an official copy from the school directly. If you bring it in to them, you’re wasting your time.

Consider this. Is the discount really worth getting cancelled if they do find out?

They require proof, in the form of an official copy of your grades. No copy, no discount.
