i need help choosing a college/university . im interested it ……………?
i want to go somewhere and earn a degree in music ( BFA)
i know that at Tisch School of the Arts there is a The Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music
i did some research and i found that admissions to the program is highly competitive that every yeat a lot of people try to get there and only a few acctualy makes it there like from 300 only 30 people get there
anyways does anyone know any other colleges that offer music programs i did some research and most of them that have music its like jazz and opera but thats not for me
the only one that i found that has what i like is Berklee in Boston MA
and what im interested is songwriting and performance but then again i know that i might not get there cause it requires you ot play an instrument and i dont play anything im a singer
so does any one know any other schools in the NYC area that have something to do with recording, songwriting or performance???
now i wasnt the best student i dropped out when i was in 10th grade
and now im getting back on track im in a GED prep .program and im going to get my GED this summer

Also in Boston is the New England Conservatory of Music: http://www.newenglandconservatory.edu. Many of the faculty at Berklee also teach at the Conservatory. In Ohio, top ranked Oberlin at http://new.oberlin.edu.Both websites have a lot of information for new students.
I’m not familiar with NY schools in your area of interest but it seems as though there must be several – do a google on NYC schools.
Good luck and keep up the good work.
