I need help about choosing a college wisley to further my career as a peditrican?
Okay so my grades in high school were bad the last three year but in my senior year i had made high honors
I wanted to know would a state university give me a chance to attend there school and i didn’t do good on the SATS
If i do go to a community college is it a good idea to start in the nursing program for 2 years and transfer my credits to a state university and then go to medical school ,they told me that if i do get a career in nursing 1st that i can make an income and still go to school
What should i do whats the smart thing to do i really dont know this is really confusing
i also have a 3month old so that might slow things down
PLEASE GIVE ME GOOD ADVISE

I would try my very hardest to attend a state university (without going to a community college), it would greatly increase your chances of being admitted into a medical school. However, if this does not happen, I would attend a community college and do classes for nursing. Then you can establish your income and still go to your school. Transfer to a good state university, I dont know what state you live in. Take classes in biology, chemistry, calculus, and physics.
It looks like a hard road taking care of your child and studying. Medical school will require lots of time and energy. I wish you the best of luck accomplishing your goal of becoming a pediatrician

being a nursing major first is a bad idea. talk to a pre-medical college advisor and he would probably tell you that. at least that is what they tell us at rutgers, but med schools figure that “you already have a career in a medicial field, why do u want to change.” however, i do know people who really did have a change of heart and have done it.
having a kid is going to be tough. you can be ANY MAJOR and get into medical school, as long as you take the 8 required science courses (2 chemistry, 2 biology, 2 organic chemistry, 2 physics). SO pick a major that is easy and enjoyable and is best for working around your schedule of your child, and then fit in your sciences.
