I just graduated from college, and i can’t find a job?

I just graduated with a bachelors’ degree in graphic design at the beginning of this month. i have been looking for about two weeks and have gotten two interviews (only in non-design jobs). i’m wondering if its a slow season or if my work is somehow not up-to-par. how long on average does it take a college graduate to find a job? did i go to college and spend all this money for nothing?

I am in the same boat as you, I also got my degree in December 07, and have only been on two interviews also. We are in a recession as well as so many people being laid off in the job field. There isnt anything to do, but keep up with sending resumes, contacts, and be positive. Something has to come up, and No we havent done all this hard work and education for nothing. It will pay off we just need someone to let us get our foot in the door to show “how amazing we are”!!
It might take months but hang in there. I also graduated with a 4.0 and it doesnt matter Im in the same hugh fish bowl with everyone~
