Question by European Union: I am an unemployed college graduate with 2 bachelor’s degrees. How can I find a job?
I’m an unemployed college graduate. How can I find a job? Here’s the issue: The survivor jobs, the jobs in stores and things like that, look at me as overqualified. The jobs that require degrees either aren’t for my major, such as IT, and require years of work experience or they’re executive type positions. I would obviously be entry level. I was told that I should lie about my education on applications. Here’s the thing with that…I had one job last year that lasted 2 months. Before that, the last job I had was in 2003. So I was out of work for almost 7 years before I was in and out of school. Wouldn’t an employer be like, “what were u doing for the last 7 years?” if I don’t put down my education? I’m really stuck. I really need a job! I’m tired of seeing people without educations get jobs before me when I paid thousands of dollars and years for an education for that same reason. I personally don’t know anyone affected by the economy. Like I said, I saw people without educations get jobs during the recession! And I’m just ughhhhh!!! Don’t know what to do besides keep filling out applications and hoping for the best! Should I lie on survivor job application? Could I lie on them? Or give me some other places that I could apply at that I could get a job!

Try going to employment agencies or a head hunter. The company pays the fee. It is a very tight market for hiring right now. You cannot be too terribly picky during this depression. Try on line services. Local newspapers do not cut it anymore. Good Luck!
