Apple generally does not audit the purchases from the education store. You are limited in the number of certain items you can buy in a given year.

Use your university’s credentials to log into your “university” store, or go in person to a store and give them proof of you being a student, usually with a student ID card. There is no set % discount on their products across the board, it varies with each item.

student ID, it has to be valid but it’s not that strict about the ID because every invoice when it ends up at apple, and they won’t check there if it matches up with your face.
