How Do Microsoft Student Discounts Work, Exactly?

Student Discounts
I got Windows 7 Pro for only thirty bucks through these “student” discounts they give people enrolled in universities. Now I see they’re letting Office Ultimate go for only sixty bucks, also to students.
But there’s something that doesn’t seem right about taking advantage of all these discounts, I can’t help but wonder if there’s a catch. Does the university I attend get billed the difference? Is anyone keeping track of how many student offers I take advantage of? Or can I just go ahead and buy Office as well, without guilt?

No, theres no catch.
The basic answer is that, students are the most likely to use a “copied” disk from a friend so its easier and more revenue effective to charge students to pay a small fee instead of getting it free from a friend, illegally.
I’ve seen the same deal on many sites such as http://www.mrbestdeal.com
