Help Choosing A Topic For A College Speech?

i have my final speech for my speech class tomorrow and i dont even know what to do it on. any help guys..please. so it has to be something that’s persuasive and i kinda want to do something “out of the box” everyone is doing theirs on “dont drink and drive, safe sex” or just common things like that, i kinda want to do something different but i cant think.

You could do something on the importance of self preparation for retirement. Realistically companies aren’t providing retirement packages anymore and unless you set up something for yourself you are left with very little to live on when retirement comes around. Give ideas of things that can be done, such as IRA’s, CD’s, putting a certain amount or a percentage of a paycheck into savings, etc. Explain the importance of it and the difficulty because of so many other things that people have to expect to pay for such as college for kids, mortgage payments, insurance and point out that the way society and the work force has gotten to, means that most people aren’t going to be able to stay with the same employer for 25 and 35 years as in the past.
