Help choosing a college financially!?

College Selection
I need some help. I got into some very good schools: Harvard Princeton Duke UCLA USC … I know with all my heart that I want to go to DUKE. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any financial aid through FAFSA or CSS and I have applied for over 100 scholarships, none of which have come in. It cost $51,000/year and my parents wont be able to pay that and I can’t have $200,000 in debt. Any ideas on what else I can do? I dont want to have to go to UCLA just because I couldnt afford it here. Did anyone try paying for a school this expensive? Any regrets or any advice?

reality create a vacuum.
go to local community college Pay Cash.
get ur 2 yrs of Bs courses done then transfer to state college u can PAY for in cash and loans.
reality note : many ‘grads’ declare bankruptcy with in 5 yrs because of money/loans problems.
most business do not care where u went or paid – 5yrs after grad. they ONLY care what u can produce in the job market.
u will have a lousy ROI on those schools if u sign up for debt slavery.

Contact Duke and ask what they have to offer you. Some schools can renegotiate your award letter. If they can’t help, find a better school. Yes, I said better.
A month after you start that first job, you boss won’t even remember where you got your degree, and they sure aren’t going to pay you more because of where it came from. Don’t get sucked into the “irrational reality” of high priced education. If you can’t afford it, you can’t afford it.
