Employers really don’t want to give you a chance. I don’t care what they say about company policy-blah; I feel that if it was something that was in the past-everyone deserves a second chance especially if it was not and is not life threatning and would impose and danger or be a risk to the company.

The reason that most companies do not want to hire someone with any type of criminal record, is that it makes them liable civilly if you later do something that reflects on the company and it is discovered that they knew that you had a criminal record.
Since you didn’t say what the misdemeanor conviction was for, it isn’t possible to address it on it’s own merits or give you any additional advice.

That’s why you ALWAYS must consider your consequences!
I’m sure there are people out there that have had a second chance that want a third chance, etc!

I agree TW. What kind of misdemeanor did you have? Keep the faith: there are employers out there that will hire you at face value.
