Question by showtime: getting money for college?
i need money for school supplies but the loans i have looked at said i cant get the money until 30 days after school has started. i was wondering if there were loans out there that would give me the money directly without it going thru the college first so i could have my school supplies before i start college.

You can take a personal loan if you need the money right away. You’ll need steady income and good credit to qualify because you’ll have to begin making payments rather quickly (with interest). Do you have any money saved up, or do you have a job? You can get school supplies really cheap in July and August each year, so that’s definitely the time to stock up. Items for as little as a penny and many for a dime at the office stores and Wal*Mart. If you don’t have money saved for essential supplies, you need to see if one of your parents’ will let you borrow until your loan money comes in.
