Question by Dan M: Do Professors Receive Money Towards College Loans?
I am thinking about going into academics and becoming a college professor. A major concern for me is getting to that point and being close to 0,000 in debt and from what I understand, Liberal Art Professors don’t make a huge wad of cash. I was wondering if colleges professors receive any assistance from their school in paying off their loans.

Many colleges and universities offer free or reduced tuition to employees and sometimes dependents as a perk to employment. How much is usually dependent upon your classification at the school. Classified vs. staff vs. faculty for example. No school that I’m aware of will help you with previous student loans, just the tuition you incur while working there.
