Can college graduates get a job?
Question by Dream Achiever: Can college graduates get a job?
I’m a college student majoring in Political Science. I hear about how tough it is for new college graduates to find jobs. Is it impossible for new college graduates to find professional jobs, or does it just take a while?

It shouldn’t be too difficult to find entry-level jobs in a professional field, but it will likely take time to work your way up. A lot of people settle for retail or other jobs that don’t require a degree because they don’t feel like taking the effort needed to become a professional.

I am still a college student and earning money doing freelance jobs. I guess it will really depend on your expertise and the field of work you are trying to get into.

Its not impossible its just that there so many people with the some trades now that there less jobs and more people its more competive so you could get a job its just going to be harder with the economic recession.

A political science degree holder will not get any sort of job that needs that degree. To get a job, a Poli Sci major has to double major it with something useful like Economics.
My daughter did the combination and she has found it to be a powerful combination.
